Administration, consulting, compliance and recordkeeping for various employee and employer contributory savings plans. Responsibilities may include daily or periodic hands-on recordkeeping, asset reconciliation, compliance testing, plan design, government reporting, interfacing with investment managers, coordination with trust accountants, special projects, business proposals and cultivating new clients.

Consultant

Auburn Hills, MI

Consultant will assume a mentorship role on the team and be a key practice builder by assisting in the growth of the retirement plan practice, which could include Defined Benefit & Defined Contribution. This will be accomplished by building and developing new client business and cultivating new business within the existing client base. Other major responsibilities are:

• Consult with client to ascertain and define need or problem area, and determine scope of service required to obtain solution.
• Conduct studies or surveys on need or problem to obtain data required for solution.
• Analyze data to determine solution such as installation of alternate methods and procedures, changes in processing methods and practices, or redesign of products or services.
• Advise client on alternate methods of solving need or problem, or recommending specific solution.
• Negotiate pricing/scope for consulting service.
• Develop short-term and long-term objectives and goals for client's retirement programs.
• Overcome technical and business objections of prospective clients.
• Seek opportunities to introduce other employee benefits plans and services that will enhance the client's existing programs.
• Prepare and present financial analysis on client's current programs and recommending plan or vendor changes to reduce costs and/or improve benefits.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of all presentations to be made to clients.
• Maintain regular reports which track quality assurance of all deliverables, projects are being completed and timelines are being met.

4+ years of retirement plan consulting experience, must be with consulting or accounting firm including:

Bachelors degree required. Concentration in math, actuarial science, accounting or business-related field is highly preferred. JD, CPA or actuarial background is highly preferred.

Salary: 100K to 140K + ( 8% or more target bonus )


Senior Consultant

Minneapolis, MN

Responsibilities include working closely with Provider clients to manage and support projects that design, implement, and manage client-centered and creative solutions; analyzing and benchmarking client’s existing products and services for market competitiveness – strengths, deficiencies, & gaps; developing strategies and improvement recommendations; managing projects on behalf of providers; training clients on marketplace trends including conducting market research studies and developing white papers; developing strategies for providers to increase their competitiveness through differentiation of products, processes, and/or services; developing products and services for providers; generating leads in the national provider marketplace, setting up sales appointments and selling services; researching marketplace to support project deliverables; creating detailed client deliverables that support findings and recommendations; and reaching out to Retirement Services network to gather trends.

6+ years retirement plan provider consulting experience (DC, DB, NQ) – preferably with a consulting firm, successful marketing ability in selling services to prospects and existing clients, understanding of trends in the Retirement Services Marketplace, proven ability to manage projects and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ability to work independently in a team environment – sharing ideas and working collaboratively, strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, PowerPoint and Word Skills and Visio, Access, and Microsoft project a plus. Travel – Up to 80%

Salary: 90K to 120K
